Employees at the Umingmak Centre Receive their Play Therapy Certification

  Staff at the Umingmak centre along with mental health staff from the Government of Nunavut, and the YWCA Qimaavik Women’s Shelter, participated in a six-day live training and received their certification in therapeutic play skills with the Rocky Mountain Play Therapy Institute. ACYF staff recently completed one of the modules of Our Life’s Journey, a counsellor’s training program offered by the Ilisaqsivik Society in beautiful Kangiqtugaapik (Clyde River).
