Qupanuaq Services is dedicated to supporting Inuit families in the Qikiqtaaluk region. By leveraging the Inuit Child First Initiative (ICFI) funding, Qupanuaq Services addresses systemic challenges and provides culturally relevant services to ensure Inuit children have access to essential education, health, and social supports.
Our Programs:
- Inuliqtait Country Food Box: In partnership with the Qajuqturvik Food Centre, this program distributes country food to Inuit families in Iqaluit, promoting access to traditional and nutritious meals.
- Uqquutillugit Parka Program: Employing local seamstresses, Qupanuaq creates custom parkas for children within their communities, ensuring warmth during harsh winters and supporting the local economy.
- Bassinet Program: In collaboration with the Government of Nunavut’s Department of Health, this initiative supplies bassinets to every newborn in the Qikiqtaaluk region, ensuring safe sleep environments for infants.
- Beds Program: Qupanuaq provides bed frames, mattresses, and bedding to children from low-income families in the Qikiqtaaluk region, ensuring they have a comfortable place to sleep.

Utilizing a hybrid model of in-person and virtual appointments, each client is provided with a device equipped with cellular connectivity to participate in therapy sessions.

- Iqaluit ASD Caregivers Support Group: In partnership with local professionals, Qupanuaq hosts a monthly support group in Iqaluit for families with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The program provides onsite childcare and taxi vouchers for participants to facilitate attendance.
